Biome-City. Entry for the Nova Station Worldbuilding Gamejam

This project is an exercise in imagination. We sat down and envisioned what a place like Nova Station might look and feel like. The result is a vibrant setting born from that exploration: Biome-City.

Biome City can be played, but it isn't a game. Aesthetically, it blends sci-fi elements with South American skylines and a touch of Seattle's atmosphere.

Controls

  • WASD : Move
  • Space: Jump (in the air, jump again)
  • F : Dash (works in the air too)
  • Wall Climbing : jump towards a wall. Hold in the direction of the jump.
  • Wall Jumping: while Wall Climbing, quickly press Move and Jump in the opposite direction of the wall.
  • Exit: Close the window

About the team

JP and Lineith are childhood friends who share their passion for video games and illustration. This marks their first true collaboration in creating something that felt distinctly personal, while staying true to the worldbuilding rules of the Nova Station event.

Biome-City was developed using Unity 6.1, along with plugins such as Corgi Engine and Sprite Shaders Ultimate. Programming by JP. Art by Lineith (more art from Lineith).
